  1. Surely you should just remove the snorkel and save yourself the aggro
  2. V close to home, any details where in Purley you found the truck?
  3. Shame as it had the makings of an interesting project, but understand your stance.
  4. Just been through all this, what a palava! Be easier not to have the snorkel I would of thought, if you're not using it off road you won't need it.
  5. I've got one I converted - would sell it to
  6. I'm not sure disaster is right? I had one that could pull overdrive top happily with a caravan on the back. But it was looked after....
  7. interesting thread this, as my 300tdi has only got one earth cable - and only ever has done as long as I've owned it. There is, and never has been any sign of the one from the starter bolts to the chassis. Can anyone confirm if this was original to all 300tdi 90s?
  8. also appears that a 300tdi disco motor is very similar as well.
  9. This has saved my bacon! Great knowledge, even if a little historical!
  10. Something different and really cool! I bet it goes really well. interested to see if you could make any gains with megasquirt?
  11. Exactly what mine is doing, think its a bad earth on mine - I've always had problems with the earth strap to the chassis. The other 300tdi in te household barks up straight away despite being left for weeks in the cold. This is also on its original battery as supplied in 1997.
  12. Mike, I would check the connector into the heater. The three way job, mine had corroded to nothing
  13. As long as it will still tow heavy loads, 3.5te - greater than its competitors, it will sell. I am quite looking forward to a decent stereo!
  14. To me that looks like normal wear. I would suggest leave it be
  15. This explains why I never got my warm up valve working right!
  16. Well I tell you what I wouldn't bother with Island 4x4 - very bad customer service
