Arjan
Advertised as a "Range Rover 4x4" with electric winch.... I think it is a Series II / IIA 1
Blanco
Well it has a certain charm!ย It doesn't really matter what you call it so long as nobody tries to use itย Has home made look to it, but the gearbox and drum look familiar, ..... are you thinking of acquiring another project Arjan?
Arjan
The Series does have a charm and sort of is complete. However, I do not need more projects as I have 2 1/2 sitting in the garden and SWMBO made it very clear I can't have another LR Project if she can't have another horse.. ๐ We have some serious work - both with the trains and building - and need to use that sensible. Having said that..... Another horse...
steve b
That's something you don't see every dayย Truck looks ok though , for the right price it could be worth a horse.... Steve
Popular Post pat_pending
There is more charm and character in that vehicle than most of the "Blinged up" Defenders currently selling for ยฃยฃยฃยฃยฃยฃยฃยฃs. Not only built in a shed... It is a shed! ย 4
Anderzander
Iโd like an electric winch for my 80 - that would do nicely !
ThreePointFive
Maybe my recent problems have made me see starter motors everywhere... But isย it powered by a starter motor attached to a flywheel?! ย 2

smallfry
I think it looks quite period. Certainly inventive, and not much worse than SOME electric winches I have seen. All it needs is a guard over the flywheel drive, and maybe another support bearing on the outside of the drum.
Arjan
Oh, there is a cover allright.. No, I am not buying this..... Really, I am NOT. Feel free to sent me ยฃ 3000 and I'll buy it on your behalf, store it for you here in order to collect it later this year. ย

cackshifter
There seem to be some coarse teeth next to the ring gear - maybe for a pawl of some kind?
