  1. Had these Yokohama's on my S1 V8 Looked a bit odd as small dia but very wide and like a quad bike tyre. Although called mud diggers the side wall said snow tyre.
  2. Even though I am considering an EV, IMO there's a lot more to buying a V8 than just it's quick. Personally the PHEV or EV vs V8 is a simple argument. Do you want one or not? As for cost they noved in to the status symbol area years ago which is where fast EVs went straight away. So you can either afford them or not that is their point. I can't afford either.
  3. Then again the long one does twist a full turn hiding the weakness then let's go! Sorry the two I broke were long ones.
  4. That's what is great about good forums, good reviews and feed back.
  5. Sadly but not surprising its 6x4.
  6. I agree with the above sentiment but if I'm not under my cars it will be my sons two or my daughters. Though in truth I get them to do the majority I just step in if they struggle.
  7. I had followed your thread up until I sold my D3.
  8. As stuff gets more complex and computerised it is very easy to look too hard.
  9. I seem to recall a similar thing with alloy wheel cleaner, car cleaning companies can buy strong stuff but Joe public can't. Thing is just because you own a company does not immediately make you any more knowledgeable. Being a professional just means you get paid for it. An expert can be an amateur with decades of experience. Sorry ranting again.
  10. Ah just read the TRO info page, looks well managed one day a month and not in winter. This one needs good planning then.
  11. Wow didn't even know we had such a lane. You wouldn't want to run out of fuel there. Is it a summer only lane, I saw it is a rocky surface but water run off would be slippery.
  12. Isn't that the same story with US chrome vs European? Dosnt the US use Hexavalent chromium and gets a deeper shine but the EU banned it as it is somewhat carcinogenic? Or am I mixing up the facts?
  13. But they look like you need to bolt through the case with a nut on the inside?
  14. The D3 rear toe control arm is held to the hub with a single sheer bolt, IIRC it does not need to be undone to adjust but it does have a history of snapping just being driven so that is another problem area with them.
  15. Although I have actively participated in the batching it is true that this is an International forum area and the fuel situation is purely a UK thing.
  16. I have had it both ways, oo er. I had a 4x4 pull out of a side road at night fully expecting me to evaporate before him and people so eager to let them out that they swerved across the front of me., but he was indicating so it must be my fault. Then there was the dick in a RR Sport who drove at me head on in my lane as he has a RR and I should have used the cycle lane to give him room killing the cyclist already in it presumably. Sorry in a fanting mood, still looking for petrol for my wife to visit patients this weekend.
  17. Just tried calling local Asda to be told unprecedented traffic can't answer call.
  18. I thought that was the point of doing it? Just think of the end goal, 5.0 itr supercharge. My mate had one, when he worked for a Chinese telecoms company in the UK they took his company petrol card off him as it cost them too much!
  19. Oh luckily she uses a small car where £40 at normal prices will fill the tank, so £30 will do. I looks like I will be out a Midnight tonight then for Asda.
  20. I guess this true of every manufacturer, is the price based on cost plus margin or just what the market will pay? IIRC RR were sold in the US at a Dollar per Pound so we paid far more because we would, even though LR had to ship them to the US.
  21. My wife is a nurse and will need fuel for 250 miles of travel this weekend for patient visits god knows how we will get the fuel as I have no idea where will be open. What happened to the key worker priority?
  22. I've said this before on here and I'll say it again! I agree about the theory test. I rode mopeds then motorcycles before cars and it gives you a better perception of dangers even as a carefree youth. A BBC show about driving showed a clip where you had to spot dangers, at the end they announced that a Police Officer had spotted 18 potential problems, the slimy, gloating presenter asked how many did you spot much less for sure. As a motorcyclist I spotted 24.
