  1. I personally would weld brackets on to mount on original holes as that is where the seat box is degined to take loading and forces excerted by a seat
  2. Just come across this. Designed to mount onto a 300tdi but can be mounted on inner wing if required http://fourby.co.uk/epages/950004277.sf/en_GB/?ObjectPath=/Shops/950004277/Products/SYS001
  3. The master cylinder does not creep at all. It applies pressure and then releases when pedal released. The pistons in the caliper does not fully retract only pulled back slightly by the seal.
  4. Look on paint mans website. They have swatches there and are also happy to send a painted sample on a spray card so you can check
  5. Check pedal to cylinder linkage. If unsure take top cover off and wind nuts away from pedal so got plenty of free play. If its over adjusted it wont squirt once it has lost whats in the cylinder. The cylinder has to fully come back to its rest position to allow the fluid to fill the cylinder
  6. I would punt the fuel pump is not square as the back support of the pump is slightly adjustable. Either that or check camshaft sprocket for end float as the 200 is known for it coming loose and wearing the thrust washer
  7. Ive had a bosch pump governor seize at full chat after being stood where pump was dry for a while.
  8. I may be wrong but the handbrake is on the output to the rear prop so if it creeps theres an issue with the handbrake not transfer box.
  9. We have a large compressor in a room at work with open roof inside the building and its got a noise suppresion cabinet but the best improvement was to hang old carpet on the walls
  10. Looks like the sleve is not sliding so is bending the front lug and snapping off. I always oil the sliding tube and then tap it both ways to ensure its free before fitting. It is a tight fit and most alternators are painted causing the tube to become stuck
  11. Has anyone fitted a 90/defender brake pedal into a series 3 with servo fitted and 11" front brakes as standard. Need to fit defender pedal for security reasons
  12. You can time up the pump and then lock the shaft by removing a spacer on the side of the pump and winding in the bolt. With belt and dproken removed you may be able to do it without removing the pump. Ive never done a front seal and assume it can be removed from the outside without the need to strip the pump apart
  13. Constant clicking = flat battery. I presume a door was open or radio on whilst doing the brakes
  14. Drill a small hole and unless you cross threaded it tap an allen key or torx bit into the hole and should unwind by hand as there will be no tension on the bolt
  15. Some are boost pressure controlled so when no boost the vanes open to give as much boost as possible and close to reduce boost as it builds up. Others are vacuum operated and some are stepper motor controlled
  16. Only the speedo needs to be illuminated for mot. Only other warning light is the ABS if fitted that has to go through a set sequence
  17. Ive been in touch with foundry and they have made a proto type and hopefully will be in production soon. The engineering company has a back log to clear first
  18. Snorkel needs to be bigger than air filter inlet bore size as the longer the pipework on the snorkel the more friction is created and reduces flow. Sounds odd but its the same with water pipes too
  19. They sent a standard led relay. Wired it in they all wirk as they should but the relay clicks as if indicator is on even when in midfle position. Also does it if i disconnect the wire off it that goes to the stalk. Im thinking i have a duff relay as its wired as per the wiring diagram with it
  20. Comes with adjustable relay too
  21. Have ordered a ser and arriving tomorrow so will try one and if bad they can have them back. Spoke to supplier who is happy to do this for me
  22. Yes its the 73mm lights. Ive got clear headlights with relays and osram night breakers
  23. The only thing that really changed over the years is the imperial to metric fittings
