much faster
under load the wheel speed to winch line speed (single line) was matched on 3.5 diffs & 35" simex, have now gone to the air freespool which im planning on upping the gear ratio again in the near future so might have a set of plus 40's available, have only done 2 events
i had standard gearing in mine & i am running xp motors aswell, have gone to +40s when i still had my standard bottom housing & it transformed the winch, soo much faster
ref whitbread offroad doing quick release mounts, the prototypes arrived yesterday from the laser cutters & are currently WIP, as soon as they have mounts available to suit a 90 i will post up
Does anyone know what the length of a standard front radius arm is?
Also wondering what the measurement is from the radius arm bracket to the centre of the axle
Cheers
I've been using yorkshire van breakers on ebay for bits for my pug boxer n they have been spot on, there phone no is on there ebay auctions, normally phone n check what they have instock n order
i would also check the valve clearances as i had that on a disco 200 tdi & the covers that the rockers run on had worn away & increased the size o the clearance
Put the disco engine in place on the defender engine ounts n use a 300 tdi turbo n inlet manifold assembly as it fits a lot easier n the pipework is much neater n more straightforwad
ive run 125ft or 11mm plasma & 12mm dyneema, ropes always washed after an event & hung out to dry & kept in the house, so far the dyneema has lasted better than the plasma, i currently get approx 1 year of use from a rope before it goes in the bin but normally get 3/4 events on the front & 2/3 events on the rear
