  1. How do LR justify a 700% markup on the OEM?
  2. Well it's not a pass the bucket really ... well unless that's how you'd carry it home. Just been told this 80" sold outside of eBay for 2k :-/ http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/land-rover-80-series-one-1-/121952063893
  3. Someone else said Cyclones, but I have no idea
  4. What's the black band on the bumper? Is it in mourning for the passing of the Defender?
  5. Try changing the lens on yours for a 2.1mm cctv lens, should just screw in. They are a couple of pounds on ebay. You can go for even wider angled but I found I needed to make some modifications to use anything wider than a 2.1mm
  6. Must've been quite a long tow, they seem to regularly make £150.
  7. Paul, I'd ask the question is a separate thread in the Range Rover section as some kind soul will probably go out and measure it for you.
  8. We should start a forum collection for Nige to buy him some of these http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Safety-Cut-Proof-Stab-Resistant-Stainless-Steel-Metal-Mesh-Butcher-Glove-5-Grade-/262171822195
  9. Whilst he is fairly young his father was in the business to, in fact the original business was set up by his father in Edwards name as he had been banned from setting one up in his own. So I'd say he has been taught from an early age.
  10. To be fair he had started dealing under a new business name and had changed his surname so it was a bit harder for Stobbie to discover his reputation in case. The linking of the new name to the old business came after Stobbie had purchased.
  11. Looks like he's stalling for time and asking you to remove comments so he can dupe more people out of more money.
  12. Anyone else and I'd be sure that was an April fools day joke .....
  13. I was going to say glad you are OK but obviously you aren't, that's a heck of a lot of damage done to you. Hope the recovery goes well, how's the Fabia?
  14. Yeah but now you have a mans bench it's time for a mans vice How's that for a convincing argument?
  15. Have a google for the Shopsmith Steve ..... and all it's accessories
  16. So heat is the secret then, it's rubbish cold so that makes it a one time use fluid. I took mine out of the tank and just use it for washing down oil spills now.
  17. Paraffin does indeed work well but diesel is probably the safest one when it comes to burning the place down. Why not use diesel to do the primary cleaning then rinse off with something more expensive to remove the diesel?
  18. It's a good job you took a picture of it, you'll now be able to remind yourself from time to time what the top of it looks like
  19. If you mean this one http://www.mig-welding.co.uk/forum/threads/land-rover-defender-110-rebuild.51989/page-95 then yes that's the one I've also seen pics of on facebook. So assuming we are both on about the same Kimberley here
  20. I'm guessing you are the same Kimberly I've seen doing the TD5 build on FB, if so you seem to be managing pretty well without James' luxuries ..... in fact you've made far more progress than James! Congrats on your first start the other day!
  21. That's a MANs! bench Mikey, don't you be questioning him now
  22. I'm guessing Canada doesn't cover it's roads in salt because they know how to drive when it's a bit cold.
