    6cyl SWB?

Oh yes....... Hand Carry I have made a living a on board courier in the early '80s and have flown with about anything you can't think of, incl. parts for drilling rigs... Those were good days...
  2. I have bolth Pivlock, Mantec and a Mantec-look-a-like.. I have them all off set to the right because we have a different rear arrangement..
  3. Solid old stuff - will be very useful at times
  4. What he says - look like " standard " double pin front shocks. Measure the length and have a look around as there is a lot of choice. As you give no further info on the vehicle body type not much else to say.
  5. ".. sure they have made zero profit .." Well, as JLR is in this world for making money I'm quite sure they got the sums right and are making a nice sum, thank you very much. Overpriced ? Well, the are being sold it seems so they got that right, too...
  6. Depends on the engine type Battery will drain quicker than you think..
  7. Oh.... Interesting !!!! Congratulations on the buy - hope you're happy with it !!
  8. Welcome. Like Daan said, this will cost a lost of money if you have it done for you as there will probably no documentation on the electrics etc. and it will be trial & error.. As you don't say what body or engine it has it is very difficult to say more. Also, not sure where you are located and that is also a big part of the price. We make our own looms so can't help you much - unless your in France..
  9. Give Peter Lamb a call - FirstFour - and explain your needs. He's a good man.
  10. Make sure you test the snorkel after fitting for being waterproof...
  11. We use the Husky a lot of the times for timber moving but, ideally, hydraulic is better. Although bottom PTO's were made for the Series Transfer Boxes, I'm not sure they were made for the LT77... However, several options can be had for the engine mounted ones. Prices wise - neither PTO or hydraulic is cheap...
  12. Money is relative in projects like this. It takes grunt, stubbornness and understanding people around you to complete them. Looks like most big bits are there - and many small ones will need to be replaced anyway.. Make sure the paperwork complies to the metal in front of you - otherwise, think again. Bon Courage !! ...and we are always nice to people. Esp. those brave enough to take on a project like that.
  13. Yes please - love to see some pics. How happy were you with the chassis ?
  14. Let's be different : This is not a good idea !!!! Stay away from it. Financial minefield. Source of utter frustration and long talks with bank manager. So, said the sensible thing. .... ... .. Go for it - be brave !
  15. That bulkhead looks very nice..... We had both a 17 year old chassis - with repairs done to it - and a 21 year old bulkhead done back in Holland a long, long time ago. Friend with optic thingie came by last year and we had a look inside the chassis and the bulkhead. Looks good to me. Obviously, new steel is easier to dip - but old steel is not impossible to do properly.
  16. Sound logic. Hope it works that way, too..
  17. Yes - regulator fixed on the tank - hose & gun will weigh enough by the time you're finished.
  18. Oh Oh..... Think we all have been there... Good Hunting !
  19. Not sure it is a state secret - but I do know that ventilation of the tank - lack of - that causes blow back air pressure very, very often causes the nozzle to stop as they are very, very sensitive.
  20. All down to your own really. Although I have great admiration for those who restore to factory spec, it is not for me. I, we as the Mrs. does the spraying, build to use and stop corrosion as much as I can. The Series is in the workshop for the last stage on the - hopefully - last rebuild and it is totally not as it left the factory. But it will not rust, have good brakes, nice engine and working electrics. If you're happy with what you do it is good.
