SIII 2.25D bought in 1996 and sold after 8 months as i couldn't afford to commute in it (or be ripped of by 'specialist' LR garages cos I knew nothing about them).

Then a long break from LR's till I bought a 90 in 2002.

90 200tdi SW J-reg

88 V8 hybrid ALF old B-reg

Disco 200tdi auto L-reg

110 200tdi CSW H-reg - saw the advert for this on friday am, viewed at lunch time, went back with the cash after work and it was on the drive when missus got home from work that evening

90 V8 D-reg

Since 2002 I've also owned or owned a share in the following that where bought for spares/braking/selling on...

RRC V8 A-reg

RRC V8 B-reg

RRC v8 F-reg

RRC v8 old K-reg

RRC 300tdi auto, G-reg

110 2.5NAD Hi-cap c-reg

110 4.2 chevy 6-pot HT D-reg, that was a very sweet engine wish I'd kept it

109 V8 stage 1 SW, X-reg I think

109 with perkins lump, PTO and a FO huge 240V generator running of the PTO, also had rare a fibre glass hard top.

Now having another break from LR's. Probably get something again in the future, but I'm doing the bike thing next.

only been offroading in cars (other than farm stuff) for 4 years, got lots to learn and lots to build yet.

few rangies, disco 2, erm some racing cars. couple of competitions, odd bit of greenlaning, trundled around a few countries.

Bikes - whole different matter, thats one thing Ive done a lot of and loved all my life, started riding when I was 9 and racing when I was 11, built everything from drag racers to overland bikes, choppers & trikes, racing motards and road racers, even managed to keep bike standard for a while once..

Started off with my '86 Rangie, still owned, and is getting smaller by the day!

Then got a 1989 V8 disco (on LPG) as my daily runabout. This got bought by a fellow club member and turned into an off road toy.

That lasted a good few years until I was able to get the '98 Rioja red 110 CSW... she was a beaut and now lives a happy working life with an archiologist in wales somewhere.

This made way for the Camel 110 which I hopefully still own... I say hopefully because it should be on its way back from America but I still haven't heard from the shipping company yet :(

And the latest addition to the family... a '99 2lt Diesel Freelander, the new daily runabout... which broke this morning!!:(

Before this little lot I had loads of top quality Ford Cortinas ranging from MkII to MkV :D

I also had a BMW Isetta bubble car! Had endless trouble with the dynastarter - good idea in theory but not in practice. As it only had 3 wheels and 1wd I don't suppose it counts here :D

It's the only Beemer I have ever owned or driven.

Got my '68 SIIa when I was 16, took it apart, and spent 4 years putting it back together again, and still have it.

'73 S3 that I bought in sainsburys car park. broke that after deciding there was too much rot.

'81 24V FFR Lightweight with lots of extra bits - sold to make space on the drive, currently being played with by Steve M

'91 200TDI Disco - my current offroad steed

Audi A3 TDI Sport Quatto - every day 4x4 fun (!)

'03 1.8 3 Door Freelander (belongs to the Mrs..)

'93 200TDI Disco - stripped for parts..

Not many by standards round here, also had Mk2 Golf before giving up on petrol and moving to the dark side, with pug 306 and then a Mk4 Golf TDI... The Audi is just a golf really....

I started off with a Honda Quad bike which I've still got and occasionally use although the back axle's bent.

At school I was in charge of a motley collection on a shoe string budget. It was a good thing the workshops were very very good! We had a Bedford MW and OY, 2 x Daimler Ferrets, a Saracen, a 101 (which I still own a share in), and 3 Land Rovers: an ex mod SWB SIIa, a LWB SIII 6 cylinder and a SII SWB truck cab that was 'mine'. Me and my current co-driver prepared this one; it was very stripped out, had bucket seat, a cage and 33" tyres and we thought it was great although it really was a little on the rough side.

Next came my 90 with was a smart 300 Tdi CSW when I first got it. That seems like a VERY long time ago. I still love this car

The most recent purchase is a '99 Lotus Elise. Ummm fun car :D

Sorry. Can't add much.

Owned my 110 for 20 months. First 4x4 I've ever owned. Always wanted a Land Rover.

Knew nothing (so I found out... :D ) after buying her, but can now handle a reasonable amount, which still amounts to diddly-squat next to you lot. But I'm learning, thanks mostly to this site.

Reasonably proficient in driving off-tarmac. Never been stuck, although been close a few times. Never recovered or towed.

Plenty more to learn and plenty more to do.

Only my current '89 110CSW bought in June '93 when it was 4 years old :D

various LR's while in the RAF.

I learnt to drive in SIIA 88s in the RAF. They didn't last long on the flight line with an average trip length of 200 yards or so being driven often by complete novices and used to tow rather large aircraft when our tractors broke down.

I also only have owned one LR, a 1995 300Tdi csw 110 bought at one year old. As it has a galvanized chassis it will last longer than I do.

My first Land Rover was a '76 Series 3 SWB bought sometime in the early '90's - '92 ish I think. It was petrol and the tank leaked if I filled it up too much! Then I (cough) had an accident which wrote it off...sort of....so I replaced the chassis. Then moved to the Midlands with it, but it started using as much oil as petrol and I couldn't afford it anymore so it had to go.

Forward over 10 years and along came my '94 300 TDI Discovery. More comfortable than the Series 3, more econominal, warmer in winter, cooler in the summer :) But if I had the chance, I'd probably have a series again as project, but I haven't got the space (or the money).
