  1. That looks beautiful Bob, but not something that really fits with my truck sadly .
  2. Surely it will be easier to find one in better shape. I would choose to have a separate diff like a rover axle any day, much easier to work on.
  3. Same ford as my profile picture I think! Much shallower then though.
  4. I think you will be better off looking for one of the later 110 axles and not another salisbury .
  5. I thought the belgian National had been restricted to overseas entrants only if the locals didn't fill it?
  6. Where did you take her swimming Scott? Is that one of the fords on the Fosse Way?
  7. That's a good point, but I'm sure they will have some sort of clause in there to stop you
  8. Got any more details on the offroad breakdown cover? I'm with Flux and I'm covered insurance-wise off road as long as it isnt a competitive speed event, and I have breakdown cover on the road...
  9. If its £300 for the conversion for the stubby version then I think its worth it. I think you would regret getting rid of the series front end. The Stage One suggestion would be a nice half-way house though.
  10. I wouldnt be worried about a couple of posts mentioning a possible method. The information is going to be out there somewhere anyway. Every car will have a weak link built into it for legitimate reasons to it can be got into by people like the AA when you lock your keys in it! I for example know how to get into a certain mid-sized family car, and it involves a similar method to the above.
  11. A steering damper shouldn't extend if left, as that would mean its constantly trying to turn the steering. Lots of people run without a steering damper with no ill effects so if its off then it can be eliminated as a cause of the vibrations.
  12. Oil temp what I think what TJ said caused the gearbox failure in his 130 James. If the cooler already in the rad isn't suitable... how about one of the RRC 'bog-brush' coolers?
  13. It might be in this list: http://forums.lr4x4.com/index.php?showtopic=4731
  14. Is the judder/rumble there all the time or only during accelerating/braking?
  15. I vote keep If the rear diff is in need of a rebuild, why not swap it out for one of the later 110 axles?
  16. I like the idea of on the fly oil changes! How do you do that without killing them? What do you use the engines for?
  17. Its LR series... they mention 'We aim to dispatch all orders within 5 working days' on their website, and In my experience they take their time over orders
  18. They also did a 6x4 (might have been a 6x6) 127 beavertail thing
  19. You obviously haven't followed the instructions if you are still able to type
  20. Grab hold of each end of the propshafts and give them a wiggle. A knackered UJ should feel obvious.
  21. After overcoming intertia! I want to say my preload is more like 4kg? But that could be because mine is a top bush not bearing.
