Now we're using the 110 with the 300 Tdi we find the engine is in need of some serious work to regain power etc.
Before taking the thing out and rebuilding it, I was wondering if the 2.8 is worth considering ?
I have driven a few and they always felt a bit "rough" but what do the knowledgeable people of this forum think ?
And...... where to find one for what sort of money ?
Ehm.... Depends on the finish you want.
On the 110 we have, apart from a Series bonnet catch, 2 DIY rally pin style catches and they work very well. But they are obviously not for everybody.
Series Bonnet catch works well.
I'd suggest he contacts ZEUS asap and see what they have to say.
We have on both axles their stuff for years and no problems..
As you say, brakes are not to be gambled with..
Several options here :
"Security Covert Walkie Talkie Handsfree Headset MOTOROLA TLKR T60 T80 XTB446" type earpieces & mic.
or
"Military Throat Mic Headset/Earpiece For Motorola Radio TLKR T60 T80 XTB446 1PIN"
Basically, most 1 pin things will work.
Very Nice - well Done !!
The Hybrid's chassis is galvanized so a bit reluctant to start cutting etc. like what you did but could be tempted as you mention the front axle not really giving problems.... Parabolics, Koni's, Powersteering, 4 x Zeus disc brakes, 200 Tdi Series with a LT77.....
Hmmm....
What the man says.
The VIN plate may (please note the "may") show the various weights but loads don't.
The Ninety / 90 (other than the 2 ltr. mpi ones for Italy) usu. tow 3.5 tonnes.
However, some countries will have lower weights.
The "standard" bumper fits ok - the Defender one is just a bit too wide for the Series.
This is a "Bush Bar" that was made for a Defender and was fitted to the Hybrid for a while. As you can see, it is slightly too wide. Below the Superwinch Husky Bumper. This one is more clear width wise.
Some bumper will need modification as the bumper sits "too close" to the chassis but nothing a grinder can't solve. Let me know if you need more info / pics.
Very good reading - keep it coming please.
The Hybrid is about to go into the workshop to have the 2.5 N/A come out and a 200 Tdi to go in after the Seriesbox has been rebuild.
