  1. Yes please. Tell us all about this project - soounds very interesting !
  2. I'd think the 110 CSW goes over 2,000 kgs. empty. Put her on the weighbridge and you know
  3. Interesting tool for this. We're planing on doing the Ninety's later this year..
  4. Interesting to hear how the Ford does in every day's use. Will be replacing the V70 with a year or 2 and need something that tows well, too..
  5. We live here - have been for ages - in the Allier.. Some materials are cheaper in Holland so we do have from time to time to the trailer fully loaded coming this way.. Next UK raid is mixed with service for the RHD Volvo etc..
  6. Where about's are you located ? I gladly get the box to the Continent for our friend in Norway - it would be nice if we could forum relay the thing to the North.. We got our metal sheeting from Holland last month : about 1/3 of the French prices...
  7. Yes. I'm planing 2 UK Raids for later this year. In September to visit a few friends, hopefully collect a beautiful & very big Toolchest and a load of other bits. Late this year there's going to be a trip to replace the R380 in the 110 with one of Shabs boxes so it will be no problem to collect it for you and take it with me to France. So you're "...working my @ss off on the house and shed..." Ik know the feeling as you can see.... This is the 6 x 13 mtrs. ABRI the Mrs. & me are building at the moment for the horses. Concrete floor is planned to go in when I'm back from 3 weeks Alps. About 3,4 mtrs. high eventually. Once finished, the next ABRI will be 26 x 6 mtrs. for firewood, hay, trailer & Land Rover storage.. Hopefully, I can then rebuild the workshop and that may end up being 14 x 9 mtrs.... Funds is a bit of an issue though... P.S. Importing stuff into Norway can be expensive so having your box done by him could be less expensive if you do it the official way.. Temp. export and reimportation. I have been led to believe people from your region seem to drive places, replace the box and go back again...
  8. Talk to Shabs at "http://www.syncrogearboxes.com" I have had several boxes of off him and will buy again one (R380) late this year when over. A new complete unit is about to go into the Series behind a 200 Tdi.. He has a lead time to build one - I could transport one for you from him to France, or Holland, in late September, early October if it is any help for you..
  9. You´ve been very lucky. Good action taken !!
  10. Ask Mr. Lovejoy or Mr. Bowyer
  11. We found a problem like this to be a tiny hole in the fuel pipe near the engine that got bigger when the engine warmed up. And yes, we are fitting a 200 Tdi at the moment...
  12. FF009613 (Seal - Hardtop to Bodyside (Lower) 110 Hardtop (NOT Station Wagon) - Right Hand Side) FF009613 (Seal - Hardtop to Bodyside (Lower)110 Hardtop (NOT Station Wagon) - Left Hand Side) FF007439 (Seal - Hardtop to Bodyside (Lower) 110 Hardtop (NOT Station Wagon) - Right Hand Side) Partsbook must have them. I fitted new ones to the HT when we build it and the make a huge difference. Fitting can be a pain and make sure it sits 100 % perfect before bolting up
  13. Why don't you just call Zeus and ask ? We have on the Hybrid their kit (front & rear) and it is basically fit & forget. Mintex brakepads. Disks show no signs of wear after many miles and abuse.
  14. Bonjour ! Unleaded "normal" will do. Get online and find the operators manual, the partsbook and workshop manual - in English. Have Fun !!
  15. What the man said. And please pay for the best seal you can get - go to Turner.
  16. France is eh.... France. They want a French CoC that complies with the French parameters. I have been able to get a few modified vehicles on French plates but it is not easy. A "bog standard" Ex MOD 110 should be possible. Should.
  17. Certificate of Confomity from the JLR France was required for the last 18 Land Rovers we did. But if the poster wants more info he'll let us know.
  18. Ehm... We did the TB swop on the 110 in 3 hrs. 15 min. incl. a treabreak. We got the TB from Synchro and never took that back plate off. Ramp and transmission lift are very nice though - I have done it on the drive way a few times but ramp is so much easier.. Good Luck.
  19. Seriously, immatriculating a foreign vehicle in standard form in France is not more complicated than in the UK at the moment. If the UK is no longer part of the EU thing could change - but at the moment is it not that complicated. IF the LR has been modified, esp. the fuel type, you are going to have a serious challenge. PM me for details if you want through this forum or via the site mentioned below. Bon Courage.
  20. Hmm... 2 x in 12,000 miles is not standard. What use has the vehicle ? Low gear plodding around, motorway hammering all the time ? What did the computer say ?
  21. Yes. The "We don't have time to answer the phone / emails as we are far too busy" companies are not what I like to work with. I have a few suppliers and they know me, I know them. They are not always the cheapest but they get the stuff here, in time and reply to my comms. In the end, one usu. get what one pays for.
  22. Bonjour ! Yes - LT = Light Truck. Any tyre depot should be able to get you those. Bon Courage from the Allier (03)
