I've no idea why but I really fancy this.

The worst bit is I've never been that keen on rangies.

Mike

I’ve scrapped 2 like that 🤢

Obviously they weren’t that good but still !

Love the old Rangies. That’s only slightly younger than my Grandy’s W reg 3door :)

I thought Anderzander's build was pretty unique, and so it is.... but somebody else had a similar idea.....

The value (albeit retail) is still well up there though.

My dad's first land rover was EUD 947 - they're almost family.

Be wary of JB 4x4 tho.... https://serieslandroverreview.co.uk/

They really shouldn’t be selling vehicles on the evidence of that one 😬

Other than the engine and paint on mine everything else is original- axles, wheels, gearbox, bodywork etc - that really supports the value. It loses out on the engine, the additions - though they can be removed, and not having a full history back to manufacture (buff logbook and so on).

Wow, that is sobering..... trouble is even with all the accumulated knowledge I have, on the rare occasions I go vehicle(or anything) buying it is hard to apply it all at once, on some level you still need to trust the vendor..... or walk away. The real problem is that most of us trust our own character judgement and unless something is obviously dodgy we get drawn in. JB seems on the face of it to be the ideal long established family business, and we are genetically biased to trust Land Rover people aren't we?

Caveat Emptor and all that. I gave up reading the whole of that piece. Quite simply I would not trust anything unless I knew the seller personally and certainly would not buy without educating myself on the subject first - or taking advice from someone with a good knowledge of it. All that "buyer did not know this or that" .....hmmmm.

Am I totally out of touch with prices now? But didn't that seem an awful lot of money for a s3?

I found another article by searching for the name, just shy of half a million to build!

that should read BROOKLANDS not brooklyn,

Thats the prevalent US influence over here, coupled with pronounciation inaccuracies and phonetic spelling tendancies, funny thing is I have been here 3 years now and I didn't even notice! :hysterical::hysterical:
