Thanks for that, will have a look but suspect I will end up ringing them as I want a cylinder that's single acting normally out so that when it operates it pulls in and has a spring return, not that it should need one due to the internal spring on diff, it would also need to be slimline to attach to diff nose regards Stephen

Looking at steering components at the moment 

Due to swapping diff position and Unimog steering arm on the wrong side for me going to have to swap sides with arms and alter track rod receiver taper angles 

Steering castings as is

with swapping sides going to have to Mill a flat onto casting

Set up so arm does not bend down

Near enough, track rod end will take up slight difference

Still have bump stops to weld on, the other side will be more awkward but that's for another day regards Stephen

They look forged to me, the parting line would be crisp on a casting (hard to tell on yours as it's been ground but it looks more like a forging shear line) and the chips when you milled the flat don't look like those from a casting to me, but I could be wrong.

The grind marks on the arm in the photo must be from new as I haven't touched that one as yet, but I see where your coming from

Just read a bit of literature on differences between cast and forged, forged is generally 36% stronger than cast, so I would say you are most likely right regards Stephen

Straightened the other side up this morning

also removed steering damper arm as not in the right configuration now

on a side note I'm trying to source some m16x1.5x80 stainless cap head bolts, any ideas no joy on the net as yet regards Stephen

If it would ease your mind to get it higher up, then do it.     regarding the bolts, try indi.  They have a lot..
