damage and the rocky road to ruin

the first one is always the worst.....

on my defender it was a winch training day in an Exeter wood a short drive in a branch jumped up and dented the side panel.

after that it has all been a blur the worst so far was the winch challenge at Hawkchurch where a wayward stump punched the headlight out taking the wing with it...

I'm left with a 90 that only has a drivers side wing dent free.

Wales/Exmoor/France/West Sussex have been the main causes for the demise.

any intresting stories and even better pics????

below is my latest addition:

I am here, risk of RSI prevents a comprehensive reply ;)

I will stick to Roof damage:

worst damage at some forestry land in Somerset setting up sections for the Exmoor Challenge, a bit of red mist saw me reverse too fast and I hit a tree even though Tony was screaming at me to stop. DOH.

N/S damage near the alpine light was reversing out from actually driving to a punch at Slindon then sliding against a stubborn tree. This was the birth of my rollcage design. Several other miscellaneous dents on the roof are due to me walking on it for all manner of reasons.

Will :)

ehhh...

roof damage? Just a bit, after landing on its roof 3 times it was not too bad actually!

And I go through s3 wings about once a year, but these were only one week old!

Anyway, She is now back together now, looking like a landy again, but with about 5 colours.

Sir put full right hand lock on whilst going off a steep drop off.............he claims the ground broke away........but I blame the driver...........

Only good thing about it was the fact that we looked at each other and said "better do the harnesses up i suppose" shortly before going over it...........

Good job too!

Dents mmmmmmmmmmm

I winched the 90 along a gully on its drivers side at the Inch by Inch challange last year.

at the Slindon challange

My now Wife was my co-driver and I was under orders that I was to follow her between a bunch of tree's my radio comments that the 90 would not fit didn't work with her competitive spirit so after the odd tree gave way I managed to follow her. (won the event)

I could go on.........

Will's truck is a shiny anyway, what are you on about so is Tony's

I'm lost

Tony

I can sell you a roof with a matching dent on the other side :)

:angry::angry::angry:

Just got home now after being out night laning up Alton/Petersfield way...

Went under a pikey bar slowly as it looked quite low...

Heard a slight scrape and thought "Ah well, I'll make it under"

Un-beknown to me there was no padlock holding it locked shut... so the bar swung, pivoting on the roof and pulled the vertical padlocky bit straight through the front screen narrowly missing me little 'bro...

:o Gonna take the the disc cutter + metal blade up there tommorow and get some PAYBACK!!!

:rolleyes::rolleyes:

:unsure: Anyone got a spare 90 front screen in the Hampshire area? (for sale)

Dave
