Stellaghost
The sticky trep which is the spare in the group of tyres I've just bought has a noticeably soft tread, reminds me of Michelin X1 tyres I used to use on my trials bike years ago. I did'nt realise how much of a difference this would make. The realisation came when I started to load tyres, I did this by rolling them up to the ball on the tow hitch and then rolled the tyre up and in, the sticky did not slip yet the other tyres did and i had to alter my position on the tyre and apply some additional pressure to wheel it into the car. I will eventually get 3 more stickys Regards Stephen
Bowie69
The sticky almost felt like plasticine..... Be good to see them with a bit less pressure in them.
Stellaghost
Good news for me regarding tyres, I can deform them by leaning on them so should have plenty of flexibility when getting used in anger. Should mention I had let air out of the tyre, could not do the above with rhe swampers Regards Stephen
Stellaghost
Oh and curiosity got the better of me, 20 mins later Centre has deformed due to assistance of a BFH not worried about it as I reckon I'm going to have to fab up some new centre's anyway Regards Stephen
Wytze
Those centre's will not go with out a fight. That is a good thing.. For normal people😁

Ed Poore
It's plainly quicker for Stephen to change a wheel than it is to swap tyres.
muddy
An old hub with abit of inch plate welded to the back is handy to bolt into the centre and hit with the sledge.

Stellaghost
Had a bit play with tyre pressures to see how much more flexible these tyres are over the swampers 20psi 10psi Zero psi so way more flexible than the swampers regards Stephen

Bowie69
As usual 9 or 10 steps ahead. Cue pictures of a beadlock ring welded in place, and remaining 9 rings just waiting to be installed.

miketomcat
I have two types of mach5 single beadlocks above is my spare wheel, yellow is outer rim the white ring clamps the tyre to the yellow rim. However these need tubes really which kind of makes them double beadlocks ish. The others have the white ring as part of the wheel with a removable outer rim. These you need to stretch the inner tyre bead over the ring and onto the wheel bead. The outer bead sits against the ring the the rim bolts on and traps the tyre bead. These can be used tubeless as they are easier to seal. The other thing to remember is the mach5 type of beadlocks is technically road legal as it's just a split rim. The type that clamps the bead between two flat rings is not. Mike
Daan
John Sales made these for me: They are based on modular rims, 2 rings are welded in the rim, then cut the rim in half, and you have a split rim. The inserts are PVC tube, sealing is by a large squishy O-ring, which is meant for a manhole cover. You could make the ID of one of the rings smaller and incorporate a mounting bolt hole pattern to fit them to the hub. I had them down to 2PSI in the swamps, no problems. O-ring between the wheel halves:
