M&S
27/30. Not bad I guess. Considering I've never seen some of the signs in 14 years of driving!
V8 Freak
27/30..... Not too bad I recon then.. Neil
SteveRK
Not done the test yet but i believe that the double red lines differentiate from yellow because they mean NO STOPPING as it is quite legal to stop on a double yellow or single, or dashed yellow line but only to allow passengers to alight or disembark. Yellow lines refer to no waiting or parking.

the_mouse_man
A quick 30 questions lets see how well you know your highway code.http://www.devon-cornwall.police.uk/v3/roa.../quiz/index.htm 30 (second attempt) Number 13 caught me out so 29 out of 30. Thought it allowed for buses but the answer was no motor vehicles at all.
western
depends if there is a exceptions plate detailing allowed vehicles, some have a rectangular white background with 'except Buses & Taxis' in black lettering.

landmannnn
29 for me. I honestly think the US system has a lot going for it over our confusing symbols, surely a sign that says NO CYCLISTS is better than a symbol (provided you can read of course). Supposedly pictorial signs are meant to be language proof so any person from any country can read them.
cipx2
Thats right. Imagine you driving in another country and see these signs: Or imagine a foreign driver in a lorry that doesn't speak English ignoring a GIVE WAY written sign before a crossing (and you driving the crossing road). The signs in a written form can be advisory but not compulsory (like the HD sign in the test).
Ryan
30 out of 30 first time B) - it's been about 16 years since I looked at the book. I suppose I ought to invest in a new copy as I think something called a "speed camera" has been introduced since then, and I'd think I should know how to spot one.
