Jen
'Traffic Management and Road Safety Engineer' So I'm a TRO expert and attempt to control traffic problems and prevent accidents through measures on the highway/looking at trends and putting in measures to help combat those accident trends. Appart from that it's mostly talking to angry people who think they own the highway and lots of tedious complaints about very minor issues! And no, I have never recommended vertical traffic calming...

missingsid
Look after customers in an IT Outsourcing company. Bizarely they are working with the Gov to install Road Charging that when it comes in will make it too expensive for me to go to work for them Prior to that R&D Lab Tech putting secret stuff into green motors much more fun

Pete Attryde
Electronics Engineer by training (MOD apprenticeship at Farnborough). Did a bit of time on Gas Turbine testing at DERA Pyestock before they made us redundant. Spent a few years building fire engines for John Dennis Coach Builders in Guildford. Then moved on to fixing Aircraft for a company called ATC (Lasham) Ltd based near Alton (hants) that was interesting as I got to work on big stuff like Boeing 757's and little stuff Piper Cherokee's and small Helicopters (single and twin Squirrels). Got bored with that and went to work for a company in Crawley that are developing a Fuel Cell sysytem for domestic use. Most recently moved to Cheshire and now work for a company that does R&D for the Electricity Suppliers. Is a very varied job, ranging from hanging out of helicopters to survey power lines to lab testing mCHP systems for use in domestic environments. I have also dabbled with installing Burglar alarms and cctv, Car stereo's and specialist gas delivery systems for use in Universities and the like (mostly small bore stainless tube carrying nasty gases) Pete. XtremeMarineInc
For my hobby, I own X-treme Marine, Inc. A marine business which specializes in restoration and renovation of high performance speedboats. But most of the time I just do service and repairs on customers boring little boats Friday's and Saturday's. I also, through my business, sub-contract as the service manager for a Mercury outboards dealer. Monday-Thursday; to pay the bills; I am the Plant manager for one of two factories owned by Novurania of America, Inc. The Number one yacht tender company in the world. Over there, you guys usually call them RIB's, and the UK has a lot of our competition. But we have contracts with all of the big yacht manufacturers around the world, so my cell phone bill looks like I am a much more important person than I actually am. LOL! But hopefully, the owner will take me with him one time to the UK. He thinks I want to tour the Williams and Sunseeker plants, but I just want to tour the LR factory and the Special Vehicles building where my Kalahari DII was built.
