Kev Baldwin
http://www.netcarshow.com/land_rover/2011-defender_x-tech/ Cue the inevitable "how much are the wheels?" thread
moose
Ok how much are the wheels ?
FridgeFreezer
How much to take the wheels, grille and chequerplate off and burn them? Edit: And also the horrid shiny arches.
lawrence
it makes no difference about the silly wheels or the shinny arches. A few goes down a tight green lane and it would be all scratched and muddy anyway like all good landrovers should be.
Happyoldgit
Just another variation on a well worn theme.
FridgeFreezer
Oh dear god, they actually said "raw and edgy" in the press release. Someone in the marketing department needs their head flushed down the paper shredder.
cackshifter
Now now. We should be preparing to welcome future owners (and their contributions) and to offer approriate counselling. Nigel
Night Train
Cheap and tacky! Someone has let the design student, on day release, have a play with some plastics!
mickeyw
How much to take the wheels, grille and chequerplate off and burn them? Edit: And also the horrid shiny arches. +
hobson
It's not too different to the fire and ice ones they did last year, and to be fair, i've seen a lot worse, like the 'Yachting' edition that's out at the moment in the mags, which is all white and has a wooden boat deck in the back! Thats one pimpin macdaddy of a Defender! ...or something
Exmoor Beast
Carpets? who they hell thought carpets were a good idea? You should see the state of the carpets in my Mini and I hoover that every weekend I don't take it offroad (those of you who saw me get it stuck on the beach can shut up), If I had carpets in my 110 they'd smell dreadfull in no time at all. jad
Me likey although obviously as a road defender. just to complement the off road one of course!
nicksmelly
It just looks like they had lots of bits left off the 60th Defender and stuck em' on hoping to shift them on to some naive city dweller. It's HORRIBLE.... along with the 60th which is an embarrassment.
landroversforever
I like it actually, the silver and black one looks nice. Looks nicer than the SVX ones, but still retains the horrid headlight surrounds
iomlt
agree with the lights.... go back to td5 style.........
jad
is it me or does anyone get a nasty feeling in their gut when they read the name on those tyres? Feels wrong to have them on a land rover!
missingsid
Considering some of the things in this forum that I actually liked but others didn't, these are bleeding 'orrible and pugly. Marc.

JJB Serenity
How much to take the wheels, grille and chequerplate off and burn them? Edit: And also the horrid shiny arches. my thoughts exactly. Really not my cup of tea.
landroversforever
Thinking about it earlier... wasn't the X-tech name used by an aftermarket company for an upgraded (XS Spec IIRC) Commercial Defender range?
landrover598
It was a factory special a good few years back Ross, silver hardtop with apline lights, and a smarter interior IIRC
