  1. I think it is, to say the least, a very unwanted area you could find yourself in replacing pipes with hoses.. Replacing the present pipes with quality brake pipe should sort you for a long time, make replacing bits easier. Quality flex hoses on the corners & quality brake fluid should make for a good, tested set up.
  2. Like they said - be VERY careful with those hub spanners (esp. the less expensive ones) as they are not the most stable thing to start with and one can easily hurt oneself.... A 52 mm socket is money but oh so much more safe... Bon Couarage !
  3. Link not working it seems...
  4. My auto conversion was with a Mazda 3.5 Tdi so can't help. Guess you'll have to have a look at the engine bay of a 50th anniversary ?
  5. Thanks !!!! The Mrs. new body (long story) has priority right now - but once that's done and the Hybrid is running, the new to be cut roof is next. And by the looks of it, it could do with some new sealing.. However, most of it will be cut out so I'll do that first.
  6. ".. unfortunately we have no local old guys doing this sort of thing .." I know the feeling.... The French throw away and replace. Bon Courage !
  7. Yes, you need to check both sides for play / pre-load / etc. Once set up correctly, get the alignment seen to. Bon Courage !
  8. Could live with the looks if the inside stays dry... Love the Goldens !
  9. Thanks !! Looking forward to the pictures.
  10. Thank you !! As I have a roof awaiting thistreatment, very useful. Any pictures ?
  11. I suggest you contact people like Richards Chassis and their neighbour to get a price for the chassis and the replacement. This will give you a real world figure to work from. Once swopped, you'll have a vehicle that could outlive you and you'll need to worry about the normal maintenance.. Obviously, it is quite a bit of money but you'll have something worth more to sell , if you have to, but also less worries.. I have a 110 chassis here for this very purpose as the Td5 based 110 will need a new chassis and bulkhead within 3-4 years..
  12. Very Nice ! Looking forward seeing it getting filled... 😎
  13. I just spent quite a bit of time reading that link.... Oh yes..... This trailer reminds me very much of my workspace while in the army... Small...
  14. Talk to the locals is the only way.. That's what we do. Many are now closed with barriers, but often by Order.. Anything InterNet is outdated and usu. not reliable.. Have Fun !
  15. You're welcome. Please make sure the tracks you'd like to do are open - the Winter and Spring has caused loads of landslides and many oistes and stradas are closed.. Have Fun !
  16. 😁😭 Not yet really..... However, one never knows.. We're about 600 kms. (foreign distance unit - something like 440 miles in your money) away from Calais so perhaps a bit far away.. Fuel is less expensive off Autoroute (Peage) and we prefer the Route Nationals to the Autoroutes. Takes a bit longer but less stress as the speeds are now in general 80 km/h and that is good cruising with 110's etc.. You're welcome to come by - we're 50 miles north of Clermond-Ferrant in the Allier... Enjoy the trip !
  17. Very Nice !! Hope it doesn't get bent again too soon...
  18. Bon Courage ! Nobody here claims to be sensible when it comes to this sort of situations...😂 Most of us have more LR's / RR's rhan we need / want / the other halve likes....
