Nice to hear that his coffin will be carried by one of the royal Landrovers.

Apparently he has designed the set up on the Landrover to carry his coffin, good on him British through and through regards Stephen

I just read that too.

In 2016, Foley Specialist Vehicles said it delivered a totally rebuilt Gun Bus to Philip for use on his estates.

It was made to his specifications in traditional deep bronze green, and built onto a galvanised chassis and hand-built rear body.

Not sure if anybody else had seen this?

Prince Philip's love for Land Rovers endured for more than 70 years

Not a free site, unfortunately.  Nevertheless, photos of the Duke in various Land Rovers go well back into Series One days.  I found this really cool one recently:

I really like that , the deep sill panels connect straight back to the Series 2/early 2a and emphasise the heritage of the vehicle . Very nice indeed and fitting as so much of the news footage over the decades showed Him and HM Queen together standing in the back of Series 2 109''s .

I think I read that there's a fine day option and a wet day option.  How's that weather forecast?

Isn't the wet weather version a canvas tilt over the top?
