Anderzander
I just read that too. Quote In 2016, Foley Specialist Vehicles said it delivered a totally rebuilt Gun Bus to Philip for use on his estates. It was made to his specifications in traditional deep bronze green, and built onto a galvanised chassis and hand-built rear body.

Nevertheless, photos of the Duke in various Land Rovers go well back into Series One days. I found this really cool one recently:

western
Just shown the Defender 130 coffin carrier on bbc1 news, it's Not the gun bus above but a 130 truck cab pick up with a hard cover over the rear load bay, 130 is in the same or similar green finish.

Anderzander
I like it !! the deeper sills give it a more ceremonial appearance. Love the fact he went for DBG, steel wheels, and a hi-cap pick up !
steve b
I really like that , the deep sill panels connect straight back to the Series 2/early 2a and emphasise the heritage of the vehicle . Very nice indeed and fitting as so much of the news footage over the decades showed Him and HM Queen together standing in the back of Series 2 109''s . A true Statesman in time Steve
