Like I say, other than that not too bad but if their build cost £70k 4 years ago, they got fleeced. Also minus points for no underbody protection of any sort.

No underbody anything by the looks of it - crusty old axles, bone stock steering bars, all the money spent on looks up top

Probably hemp rope so it will match the new owners sandals and tee shirt ....

The phrase "good money for old rope" springs to mind .

Steve

Quite literally, judging by the fraying/algae stains on it:

Still, I do like the seats.

Insane price aside it's a lot better executed (on casual inspection at least) than most of its ilk. Shame about the back end - looks like they just kept tacking more bits on, heading ever further backwards...

I disagree.  The dash is a monstrosity and is poorly trimmed.  The instruments aren’t even fitted symmetrically and what is the thought behind that stupid badge!  Then there are the poorly finished B and C pillar trims that have big holes around the door strikers.  The exhausts are untidy and protrude much too far.  Then there are the standard drive flanges, which are not only in want of replacement high quality HD units, but could also have done with some paint, especially those on the front.  The interior wasn’t even cleaned properly for these publicity shots.  Not much attention to detail on the vehicle at all - one of the front hubs is missing its plastic cap, exposing the half shaft and flange splines so it will leak oil as well as encourage abrasion and corrosion.  Then there is the high visibility use of LRX and Terrafirma branded parts on such a priced vehicle.  Still, it must be great off road because it had brightly painted suspension parts. 🙄

With so many shortcuts and oversights, I’ll bet it rattles like a tambourine and is incapable of maintaining a straight line.

I completely agree! I didn't think it possible to have a dash even worse than the Transit/Puma Defender but this is in a different league!

I would like to see how they did the 3rd axle, I'm sure there will be some nasty surprises there as well...

You are free to ask whatever  price you like, whether the item will ever realise the asking price is a different matter.

The dash has elements of crass, poorly executed amateurism that would not have looked out of place in a 1970's boy racer Escort van.

As an aside I liked the Puma dash in those late Defenders I bought new [especially with the glovebox conversion] and considered the heating and convenience far better than the outdated 90/110 / Defender earlier ones I owned - late TD5's included.

I could see me driving one of those! Been thinking about a towtruck since I was offered a 50s Belgium-built Chevy with a manual crane about a year ago. But the price was too high for its condition and for once sanity prevailed...

I might know a man with a Harvey Frost crane (like on that 6x6) for sale

This is a proper 6 x 6 that actually drives all 6 wheels when necessary through  apurpose built transfer box.

Anderzander knows of it too

If it wasn't for the tyres being the wrong way around, this would be perfection.
