TSD
In its current state it would fit right in with all the mini-based silliness that @miketomcat has temporarily stored in my garden (Not that any of it is visible in the undergrowth!) daveturnbull
Couple of hours work should be plenty to fix it up, it's only been off the road for 27 years.

It's pre SVA I suspect and that makes it less appealing as it won't be tax exempt. 1 hour ago, FridgeFreezer said: Given his propensity for weird mini-based nonsense I'd suggest @miketomcat should buy this immediately as a practical daily driver I don't need another project and a rusty one at that. It looks too wide to have got there down the tiny road to the foreshore. My favourite amphibious creation is this More crazy Russian stuff Then there is this, native to Alaskan oil fields Can you tell I like a floater ? Steve I was thinking that maybe an Argocat might be a little more palatable to my OH 🙂 I wonder what that was at pin mill and what they were using for? Surprised it has not been seen about before! L19MUD
It's an M2 floating bridge. That explains what I thought was the roof. I had not spotted the hinges on one side https://www.armyshark.com/trucks-ambulances/as-0000286
steve b
I had one of these years ago Max ATV , 400cc twin 2 stroke with vari-belt drive. Very fast on (flat) land and as slow as an Argo-cat in water. It was great fun but limited places to use it. Steve

Steve The whole of mid Suffolk would have been your playground a couple of weeks ago (Not sure how bad it was over your way?) I am guessing they would struggle if there was any flow to the water? FridgeFreezer
Not exactly cheap, but as interesting classics go, not exactly expensive either: https://www.thedrive.com/the-war-zone/armored-range-rovers-with-nuclear-past-just-auctioned-off Gotta love a car with extra buttons. The wheels are cool too.

landroversforever
Interesting to know about the chassis… I’m suspecting it’s just a stretched Rangie instead and it’s just been misinterpreted from the wheelbase.
