I'm just glad it's got one bid on it, so there's less chance of my ending up with the biggest secret santa on record

Oi I am still on here......:hysterical: Wife's already said NO, mind since the mother-in-law's been down another bike is looking likely.

Given his propensity for weird mini-based nonsense I'd suggest @miketomcat should buy this immediately as a practical daily driver

Looks a bargain to me; what classic car do you buy for a hundred quid these days?

Edit: Mike, it even had an SVA!

That is an Alvis Stalwart. We had terrible flooding locally in Suffolk recently and I suggested to the OH that it would be the perfect solution

It's pre SVA I suspect and that makes it less appealing as it won't be tax exempt.

I don't need another project and a rusty one at that.

It looks too wide to have got there down the tiny road to the foreshore.

My favourite amphibious creation is this

More crazy Russian stuff

Then there is this, native to Alaskan oil fields

Steve

I was thinking that maybe an Argocat might be a little more palatable to my OH 🙂

I wonder what that was at pin mill and what they were using for? Surprised it has not been seen about before!

I had one of these years ago

01717_c0v9s2acWFr_600x450.jpg.0ffd441dff030b78a7e58b1d702defd2.jpg

Max ATV , 400cc twin 2 stroke with vari-belt drive. Very fast on (flat) land and as slow as an Argo-cat in water.

It was great fun but limited places to use it.

Steve

The whole of mid Suffolk would have been your playground a couple of weeks ago (Not sure how bad it was over your way?) I am guessing they would struggle if there was any flow to the water?

It was slightly worse than mildly moist..........

the Argo will take an outboard but without both are no good in any flow.
