o_teunico
Is it available on the web for overseas?
=jon=
If you are reasonably technical and have a VPN connection to the UK, yes... I watched the first episode where they restore a mk1 Escort Mexico from the USA.
JeffR
If you want a real giggle, watch "Classic car rescue"....

o_teunico
I'm not reasonably technical, I even don't know what a VPN is, so will wait until someone shares it on youtube
western
VPN = Virtual Private Network IIRC, but no idea what it actually is.
crclifford
It fools the website software in to thinking you are using a UK IP address, therefore allowing you to watch videos of those UK based websites that require you to be on UK IPs to work, ie BBC iplayer, itv, etc
qwakers
and is also the hard way of doing it. a web proxy is easier
FridgeFreezer
Watched the Escort one last night, was better than a lot of other programmes - no faked falling out, no (obvious) nasty bodging.
JeffR
Watched the Escort one last night, was better than a lot of other programmes - no faked falling out, no (obvious) nasty bodging. Watching Classic Car Rescue, I often think the poor bugger who "wins" the resulting car is in for some very big bills not to far down the line... FridgeFreezer
Is that the one with the loudmouth cockney bloke who has clearly been told by the producers to have a staged shouting match with someone every 5 minutes to keep people interested? Yeah, can't stand that, they bodge/ruin everything they touch and spend the rest of the time shouting and throwing their toys out of the pram. discomikey
for me no programme has gotten close to anything Mark Evans has done. although at least with for the love of cars, they seem to take care to do it all properly!
jbs
For the love of cars is on youtube, I've just watched it this afternoon and I'm sat here In Fujairah in the UAE waiting to get onto my next vessel Full episode: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E7VNsgtQYCI John

elbekko
Just watched it, pretty nice show, although I thought they were a little light on the technical stuff.
pat_pending
Watched on youtube as I don't have a television, it reminded me why! 45 minutes of my life, wasted.
cactus
Good show but...... Most......No...... ALL of the work was done by others! Friend of mine had it back to his garage to finish off what other "Experts" had Balls-up Wait to you see the 80"
o_teunico
Liked it a lot! Can´t wait to see the Landy restoration.
A Twig
For them's with Sky, Car S.O.S. on Nat Geo did a Series 1 the other week. Its available on catch up, features some great cameos from well known faces as well. Bit more technical stuff in it as well, although "Turboman's" rebuild of an aftermarket turbo that had been fitted was terrifying!
smallfry
Recorde it the other day and just watched it..................Why are all the presenters in these shows to55ers ?
Hybrid_From_Hell
Thought it very superficial a bit carp and rather yooo wikid silly to be honest. Definitely not impressed at all
pete3000
Quote from "Actor/muppet" in the minutes i managed to watch before I turned off, "it needs to be galvanised bumper, i'm not sure what galvanised even is" followed by some numpty jumping up and down on a pristine chassis to "test the springs" Zero technical content, from the show when a lot of work had been put in with a bolt up rebuild, which must have cost a fortune. Edit: makes even Jerry Thurston's efforts at LR resto's seem competent Poo
RustyNissanPrairie
but you have to take it in the context that it is - being LR enthusiasts we will pick holes in it but when my corporate company car driving boss texts me to say he watched it and loved it then you know its had an effect and will hopefully get people interested in cars/vehicles far away from their usual scope. Personally I'm loving the series so far.
simonr
I've only watched half of the Land Rover one so far (had to go to bed!) - and rather like it! It presents us to the public in a good light - fun / eccentric rather than as climate criminals. I'm a bit envious of the truck they are working on! Doubly so because I don't fit in 80" or 86" S1's, but love the look of them! Looking forward to seeing the second half. Si
