HampshireHog
Found this in the daily rag this morning , nearly spat my cheese sarnie over the dash during tea break, ebay number 324255706212
geoffbeaumont
And you can't even drive it to the school gateson the road... Or, for that matter, put Tarquin in the back seat, given the front belts are now anchored in the middle of it. Although given it's film history it's arguably better value for money than a lot of pimped Defenders - collectors will pay crazy money for some memorabilia. Snagger
That’s mad! They can’t even claim “one careful owner”!
Nonimouse
Seems utterly pointless
Happyoldgit
"Representing arguably the ultimate version of Land Rover's iconic Defender..." I think a few of us would be quite happy to argue that point.
Bowie69
Everything is arguable, doesn't make it reasonable, or right, however.

missingsid
Same way some things are super rare but there are two or three on eBay at the same time?
paime
There are usually quite a few replicas going about. I'm never sure what the rope is for - it looks like it would just rub the paintwork and then be a nightmare to handle when it's soaking wet and heavy. Mo Murphy
The rope is secured with harness clips ! Poseur carp. Mo

It's got a new mot. so you should be able to. But I won't be buying it.
Bowie69
I was under the impression that those 007 defenders weren't road legal...

geoffbeaumont
In one of the photos it has a special vehicles plate stating "For Off Road Use Only" - I was going by that.
Bowie69
Harry Metcalfe had one, he sold it a while back, and it now sits ruined at the top of a mountain in Switzerland. Was definitely off road only.
ianmayco68
That's not far from me about 20 mins drive , and I still won't be going for a look .
smallfry
I couldnt afford it even if the decimal point was moved two places to the left. However, no doubt it will be sold at that.

ThreePointFive
I also heard all of the Spectres weren't road legal, but never heard why - does anyone know? Type approval with those tyres perhaps? It would be interesting to see why these are viewed/labelled as the ultimate Defender, but I suspect I'd get depressed. Those copies don't expressely say they're copies/replicas anywhere on the advert that I saw. Labelling it as a Spectre Edition is flat out implying it's something it isn't in my view. I know there's some obvious bits that a movie car wouldn't have, but if you were looking at it at face value of what they're calling it.... dodgy.
