Coastcard
For 15 years I have owned and run a company selling till and credit card rolls! Far last 6 years also had a company that developed software for mobile and wireless workers to accept credit card payment from customers. Did worlds first card payment over GPRS. Unfortunately had to close it down last year due to the overhead of keeping pace with ever increasing regulations and lack of foresight in UK investment world. (Anyone want to buy it?) Petrolhead since I was about 12.

nas90
Only had 2 employers in my 35 years working life. Started with the Civilian MoD, mainly direct fire ammunition, have worked on surface to air defence systems, FF Rockets, C3I, then decided to leave due to not liking the way in which Maggie Thatcher was screwing the Civil Service. Started a Laser cutting and welding company for my bosses in 1987, over the years we have been sold, taken over and now bought back by yours truly. So 2 employers but a lot of jobs. This is my twentieth year running lasers and also recently waterjet cutting machines and it (fortunately) still gives me a buzz.

Turbocharger
I work in engineering for the biggest bus company in the UK, running workshops in different bits of the country to maintain and repair enough vehicles for full service each morning. The nice parts of my job are playing with cool bits of kit like CRT filters and hybrid buses, and dealing with the shop floor guys who make it all happen. The hardest bits are keeping on top of everthing that comes with being a site manager when I'm in some of the oldest industrial buildings in the UK, and dealing with the shop floor guys who make it all happen! SiWhite
Police Officer with Thames Valley Police working in a small market town about 6 miles south of Oxford Superb job, incredibly varied - you literally don't know what is going to come in from one minute to the next. Done some pretty cool sneaky beaky stuff, I'm a pursuit driver which is a good crack, CBRN trained and a Method of Entry Officer, getting into people's places when they'd rather you stayed outside. Also done some incredibly unpleasant, traumatic and upsetting things but that's all part of it. Just over 4 years in and I'm still to have a day when I don't get excited about work
